The message appeared almost out of nowhere. It was a random moment in their lives. It was monumental, but at the time it seemed unimportant. Patience and True had never met, and are yet to actually meet in person. But, now they are linked in a real way. Life is jumbled up. The good happens at the same time as the very difficult. We really have no control over most of these things. We are part of a larger plan. A tapestry being woven together by the master artist.
True had been in pain for a long time. Missing his children, his life. Patience was dying inside. She was losing little bits of her real self. She became aware of her spirit shattering and flying away. They were both lonely. Lonely, longing for more meaning. Longing for him…the artist. Their own individual paths had led them to this “random” moment. To a friend. At first True’s voice was barely audible. Patience heard it though and recognized his pain. Finding another who seemed in many ways like her, made her feel less lonely. Patience was losing her heart. True was losing his voice. He could not sing. This is the story of how they learned to put their hand on another’s shoulder as they swam through this life. This story describes their journey. Or rather a part of their journey, because, of course, this journey is forever. We learn to truly love, and to have patience as we learn.
